Just in time for the warmer weather, our Summer Gardening Guide is here! Click here to view the Summer Gardening Guide Inside you'll find tips on growing a variety of summer vegetables: peppers, cucumbers, zucchini...all your favorites. Looking around the community gardens this week, local gardeners are starting to transplant tomato seedlings - and the cucumber trellises are getting stood up again. Lots of fresh compost being added to the plots, which will help retain moisture and give transplants a nice new home to settle into. The gardens are getting some much needed love. If you're a gardener in the San Mateo area, please consider growing a bit extra this summer and donating to the Samaritan House Food Pharmacy.
